The Rural Urban Housing Initiatives (RUHI-774) is a scheme initiated by REDAN (The Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria (REDAN) is the principal agency and umbrella body of the organized real estate sector (public and private) recognized by the Federal Government of Nigeria since 2002 and saddled with the responsibility of facilitating the delivery of affordable mass housing for Nigerians.) with the support of the Federal Government to provide homes for Nigerians at their Local Government of origin, state of residence or anywhere of their choice. The main aim of the scheme is to develop at least 100 housing units in each of the 774 Local Government Councils of the Federation including the FCT, where feasible and viable.
Who can apply for RUHI-774 Housing Programme?
- Personnel of Paramilitary Organizations
- Civil Servants
- Public Servants
- NHF Contributors and
- Nigerian Citizens with capacity to pay for the houses.
How to Access Expression of Interest Form
You can:
- Fill the Off-Takers Expression of Interest Form online at: ruhi.redan.org.ng.
- Obtain hardcopy of the Off-Takers Expression of Interest Form at any of the REDAN offices nationwide, Off-Taker organizations or partnering agencies as listed on the application form and REDAN Website
- Also make Photocopy of the Off-Takers Expression of Interest Form
How to submit completed application forms
All hardcopies of completed Off-Takers’ Expression of Interest Forms should be returned to:
- REDAN Offices nationwide,
- Representatives of Off-Takers Organization or partnering agencies.
- An acknowledgement will be sent through email/WhatsApp/SMS.
- Online registration will receive automatic acknowledgement.
How can I raise money to purchase or own a house?
Off-Taker Repayment of Houses can be by:
- Mortgage Loan – Arrangement would be made for National Housing Fund (NHF) contributors to access Mortgage facility of up to N15m from the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN).
- Direct Monthly Deduction from Salary
- Off-take finance from Family Homes Fund where possible
- Pension Commission / Pension Fund Administrator (PFA) in respect of Retirement Benefits
- Installmental Payments
- One-off Payment.
