Federal Initiative

The North Central Development Commission (NoCDC) was established on March 12, Mar 2020, after the Bill establishing the Commission was passed. It was signed as an Act on March 19, 2020.

The North Central region is reputed to be the food basket of the Nation, but Agriculture is still at a subsistence level. There are many minerals but they are not mined whole-scale The North Central region of Nigeria offers a wide range of sights and experiences; from the confluence town of Lokoja to the country’s Capital city of Abuja. It is made up of six states namely Benue, Kogi, Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger, and Plateau States.

The North-Central Stabilization and Development Masterplan (NESDMP) was developed in fulfilment of the NCDC’s mandate of identifying the needs of the North-Central region through a baseline study, and to spell out strategies, policies and immediate and long-term interventions for the recovery, stabilization and the development of the region.
