NLTF

The National Lottery Trust Fund (NLTF) is an agency established under section 35 of the National Lottery Act 2005 by the Federal Government of Nigeria to facilitate the achievement of national development goals through the promotion of access to lottery funding for good cause projects that are transformational and sustainable, with lasting impact for people and communities. The Trust Fund formally commenced operations 2nd November, 2005 with the appointment and inauguration of its pioneer Board of Trustees.

Vision: We aim “To be a world class transformational lottery intervention funder of sustainable social investments in a broad, distinctive, integrated and inclusive approach and firmly grounded in Nigeria’s national development agenda”

Mission: We are driven ‘to improve the quality of life of the people through innovative investments in projects that are economically sustainable, creative, relevant and timely in response to a need or opportunity which offer long-term benefit to society and give good value for lottery money.

As an organization, we strive to achieve efficiency and effectiveness in all that we do.  In addition, clarity, prioritization, transparency, judgement, integrity and accountability are our core values and principles. They inform our approach to funding lottery good causes intervention projects and how we work with our customers, development partners and stakeholders.  We aim to be visible wherever we work through consistent practice and presentation.
