At Forestry Research Institute of Nigeria (FRIN) we study the application of scientific knowledge and techniques to manage and conserve forest resources in a way that meets the needs of present and future generations. Our research topics such as sustainable forest management practices, biodiversity conservation, climate-change mitigation and adaptation, and the socio-economic benefits of forests in Nigeria.
The goal of Forestry Research Institute of Nigeria for sustainable development is to ensure that forests continue to provide vital ecosystem services and support the livelihoods of local communities while also contributing to global sustainable development goals.
